Guild Codes of Conduct

Fighters Guild RVA does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, disability, religion or creed, gender or gender expression, sexual orientation, profession, or military status in any of our operations. We expect ego, politics, and personal bias to be set aside when representing our Guild, in order to ensure the comfort and safety of our community. Failure or refusal to respect our Codes of Conduct may result in dismissal without refund or warning.

Code of Personal Conduct

All participants, members, and prospective members are to abide by this Code of Personal Conduct. Individuals will regard one another respectfully at all times. Insulting or disparaging language will not be tolerated. Criticism is a necessary aspect of growth, but must be constructive and made without malice. We are adults and must remember to conduct ourselves as such at all times.

Code of Weapons Conduct

Training weapons are to be treated with respect. Although these weapons are blunt, they can still cause property damage and/or bodily injury if misused. Placing another individual in danger, whether through negligence or by intention, is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Because of this, individuals are expected to treat these weapons as if they were sharp at all times. All training weapons, when not in use, are to be held with the point down, and off the ground. Remember to be aware of your surroundings at all times, and do not attempt actions beyond the scope of the lesson at hand.

All individuals must wear the recommended protective gear necessary to the lesson, as directed by their instructor. Protective equipment and training weapons must be inspected and approved before use. Anyone who brings outside gear to training must clear it with the instructor before use.
